We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead the marketing of one of our fast-growing product units. This individual will play a critical role in driving aggressive growth of the unit. Partnering with the product & marketing teams, the Director will be responsible for developing & executing the marketing & product-marketing strategy and tactics necessary to reach aggressive business goals. This position reports to the VP of Marketing.
Responsibilities:
-Take ownership of the product unit from a marketing standpoint & drive the attainment of the unit’s goals and objectives
-Develop, maintain and execute a marketing strategy and set of actionable tactics
-Bridge product management and marketing to drive a consistent and compelling product message
-Responsible for defining, monitoring, collecting and analyzing KPIs
-Responsible for monitoring, collecting and analyzing key market information and the creation of a foundation of market knowledge
-Collaborate with internal stakeholders, prospects and customers to create and refine product positioning with clear and concise messaging to promote our offerings
-Create and support the creation of content (including product, online marketing, marketing events, websites, collateral, videos, public relations, etc.)
-Be results oriented, focused, creative, highly communicative and independent while able to enlist the support of others.
Desired Skills & Experience:
-Effective leader who excels in the demanding environment of a fast growing company
-At least 5 years of experience in marketing and product marketing managerial positions at mobile and Internet companies
-Experience in all phases of bringing new products and features to market, from conception to launch and on-going improvement
-Knowledge in online marketing (including traffic, acquisition, retention, pricing), mobile, social, product, internet technologies, UI, UX, web analytics, usability testing
-Experience in both B2B and B2C products
-Excellent strategic as well as tactical skills
-Team player, comfortable interacting with different functional areas and managing within a matrix organization
-Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
-Superb analytical, execution, and problem solving skills
