Conduit API
Case Study
Case Study -> Introduction

Let your users remain connected to your site at all times. With Conduit's APIs, anything a user can do on your site, they can do directly from your toolbar or App.

In this section you will learn how to build a powerful toolbar or create apps by developing even more advanced, personalized custom toolbar components & Apps. Turn your random visitors into die-hard fans by granting them access to their favorite content and functionality; from reading general info, to logging into their accounts, to shopping online – the possibilities are endless!

In order to demonstrate how this can be done, we've created a case study of a demo site called "Date Me" which will simplify the process of integrating a website onto a toolbar.

For the purpose of this case study, let's assume that as the owner of a dating site named "Date Me", you would like to put the best of your site on a community toolbar.

This dating site will have all the basic functionalities as any other dating site, such as:
  • User login
  • User inbox
  • User search
  • User profile
  • User account profile (billing)
  • IM system (chat rooms)
In the process of building a toolbar, you need to decide what information you'd like to place on your toolbar. Following are the "Date Me" toolbar components:

1. Knowledge of basic HTML and JS coding (or have a website developer help you out)
2. Familiarity with the Conduit API
