Add a TV Station to Your Toolbar

With hundreds of online TV stations from all over the world playing 24/7, with a wide variety of shows that includes news, music, sports, entertainment, drama, cartoons, and more - there’s always something to watch on your Community Toolbar!

In the Toolbar tab, add TV from the list.

We've provided over 50 stations for you to choose from. Each link in the drop-down menu will open a TV channel inside a gadget window.

Click Save and you're done.

Don’t forget:

Your Community Toolbar is updated immediately for all of your users, with no need for them to download or install it again. So you can always continue to customize this component and add additional TV stations later on.

Add a Custom TV Channel to Your Toolbar

In the Toolbar tab, choose Menu Button from the list. With this component, users will click on an icon to open a drop-down menu you have defined.

Select an icon for the menu item, or if you'd rather, upload your own image of a TV icon. (If you don't have one- visit the Icon Gallery for some samples, right-click on an icon you like to save the image on your computer, and then upload it during this step).

Click Edit next to the Your Menu item.

Enter the Title of the menu item and click Save. This will appear on your Community Toolbar next to the icon.

Now it’s time to add the first link to your menu. The link will open a TV station as a floating gadget window.

Click Gadget.

Define the parameters for the Gadget link:

Item name: the name of the TV station you will link to.

URL: The URL will be comprised of 2 parts: Start with the location of the Flash Video Player Gadget we have created for you. The URL is:
http://storage.conduit.com/gadgets/LiveTV.html?source=
Then append the URL of the Video Feed of the TV station. In this example, we are using “Sky News” at mms://live1.wm.skynews.servecast.net/skynews_wmlz_live300k
So the complete URL for watching Sky News online within a Video Player Gadget Window is:
http://storage.conduit.com/gadgets/LiveTV.html?source=mms://live1.wm.skynews.servecast.net/skynews_wmlz_live300k

Give the Width and Height for the floating gadget window: 400 by 450 is considered optimal for video. (You can give it a different size while maintaining the same width/height ratio).

Hint and Image: If you wish, use these fields to add a mouseover tooltip and an icon for this link.

Click Save in the pop-up window and once again on the main page.
